Benefits of Rose flower

June is National Rose Month, what a great time to learn more about its healing properties. Rose has always been my favorite flower for its look and pleasant smell. And I’m sure a lot of you like rose flowers (or at least receiving them as a gift), but don’t know its full potential. I’m going to list the two most common uses of that flower below, so keep reading!
It is widely used in cosmetics and also can be used internally (as a tea for instance). Yes, as a tea! Rose petals have good sources of Vitamins like A, C, E, Iron, Calcium and antioxidants. Like many herbal teas it is free of caffeine, sugar & calories. Besides its good sources of vitamins it can help with inflammation, menstrual cramps & with boosting the immune support. I’m an avid tea drinker and I enjoy a cup of rose tea once in a while. Finding a trusted source to buy the rose tea is important, as roses (rose petals) that are used in tea must be edible. Also make sure they are not treated with chemicals or pesticides as those roses (rose petals) will not be suitable for internal use.
And another the most popular use of rose is in the cosmetics & beauty industry. Let’s closely look into the vitamin benefits that rose is packed with.
Vitamin A is great for improving the skin texture as wrinkles, sagging, hyperpigmentation and even acne.
Vitamin E helps protect the skin from free radicals that can damage and lead to early skin aging. It also helps moisturize the skin very well.

Vitamin C is beloved by many and mainly because of its magical, so to speak, properties. Vitamin C not only boosts the immune system but brightens the complexion and stimulates collagen production.
Rose has anti-inflammatory properties which can help with healing scars, redness and calming the skin after treatment. It also works great on acne prone and oily skin. Hope you will find this info useful. Happy skin and happy Rose month!

Always consult your physician, if planning on introducing new skin care ingredients into your daily routine.
