Deprivation of sleep and daily stress can cause us to think negatively and lose some of our daily energy. While getting enough sleep helps our bodies to restore naturally, it is not always an option for everyone. Here are 5 tips to restore your energy:
1. Practice positive affirmations. Affirmations help you rewire your brain to the things and events that you would like to have in your life. If you don’t know how to start, Youtube can help. There are a lot of channels that focus only on affirmations. You can choose the one that is suitable for you and can even listen to it in the car or at home while cleaning or simply relaxing.
2. Hours of silence. I hear more often lately that women’s energy is restored during the quiet time. Test that method when you are alone at home, on the beach or at the park. Spend some time in a simple quiet setting and let your thought process go. Try not to think or overthink, instead focus on just being present. That might help you to relieve some stress.
3. Eat healthy wholesome foods. Yes, avoiding fast foods can help with energy restoration and most importantly helps you to have a clear mind. Having wholesome foods that are not processed, fresh and don’t have any additives in the forms of preservatives, added sugars, salt and dairy. Salads, freshly cooked vegan or vegetarian meals and fruits are the best options.
4. Have your favorite snack, food or drink of the day, whether it’s a coffee, cupcake or an ice cream. It is important to be kind to yourself. I think if a person is kind to themselves they are more likely to be kind to others. I have mentioned before in my other blog posts that having food restrictions can make you feel sad, stressed and sometimes unworthy. Having one favorite food of the day might help you to stay satisfied during the day vs. binging on that food later.
5. Practice gratitude. You can start by writing down, saying out loud or in your head 5 things you are most grateful for in your life (loved ones, material things, job, house etc). Having a Gratitude journal will help to stay consistent.
